Biology Minor
Students in other majors can choose to major in biology in order to broaden their exposure to the sciences.  The majority of biology minors have come from computer science and management.

The minor must be declared by the semester preceding graduation.   Students should obtain the Academic Minor Form and bring it to Jorge Golowasch during his office hours in Cullimore Hall, room 626.  Once the form is signed, students must return it to the Registrar's office.

Requirements

Biology minors are required to complete a minimum of 18 credits, including the following:

  • R120:101 General Biology I
  • R120:102 General Biology II
  • R120:301 Foundations of Biology
  • Two additional courses chosen with approval of the faculty coordinator.

(Chiti Parikh '05, was a management major who minored in biology in order to increase her exposure to science.)
