Students Win Awards at Entomological Society of America Meeting

Three students within the Federated Department of Biological Sciences spanning NJIT and Rutgers–Newark recieved President's Prize awards for their presentations at the Entomological Society of America conference in St. Louis last week. PhD students Megan Wilson and Christine Sosiak recieved first place awards for their presentations on the functional morphology of termite jaws and identifying the ecological niches of extinct species, respectively. Chloe Jelley, an undergraduate in the Albert Dorman Honor's college and track athelete at NJIT, recieved an award for her talk on the comparative morphology of ant eyes. In addition, Christine Sosiak was awarded a research grant by the society supporting her thesis work. Congratulations all!
